Nominations Open for the 2025 West Coast Teaching Excellence Awards

West Coast Teaching Award badgeThe British Columbia Teaching and Learning Council (BCTLC) is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2025 West Coast Teaching Excellence Awards. Inaugurated in 2021, these awards recognize excellence in postsecondary teaching, particularly at the undergraduate level, among public post-secondary institutions in BC and the Yukon.

Individuals nominated for these awards demonstrate

  • a proven commitment to student engagement and learning
  • ongoing improvement of teaching through research, professional development and reflection
  • and engagement with equity principles in teaching, including EDI, UDL, anti-oppression, indigenization and decolonization

The BCTLC selects up to five recipients annually from different post-secondary institutions. Each institution can submit up to two nominees per year.
