British Columbia, particularly Vancouver has been a hive of activity lately. First, the BCTLC meeting took place on November 12. Representatives from 21 institutions met to discuss current issues and envision a huge May/June 2016 opportunity to bring together and showcase BC’s expertise and experiences and enable educators and leaders to further their networks and professional development. Stay tuned for more information and follow our twitter account @BCTLC25.
The next day, the BC Symposium: Scholarly Teaching & Learning had 181 registrants and successful full day of sharing and discussions, while the Open Education Conference was also held in Vancouver from November 18 to 20. Several BCTLC members were integral in planning the former and many of and our colleagues within BC’s post-secondary institutions were active participants and contributors to the latter.
